Recently accomplished monolithic stone and glass structure in South Korea’s Gwanggyo neighborhood is a true work of art, designed by Rem Koolhaas’ architecture firm OMA, made in partnership with the local Korean architecture firm, Gansam.
The Galleria department store is the sixth and largest branch of the high-end retail franchise owned by Hanwha. The eye-catching exterior features striking geometric glass rows that protrude from the mosaic stone façade, while the interior plays with stone walkways that lead to the “public loop” offering hidden vistas of the city.
