Instagram continues its attempt to minimize cyberbullying, harassment, and spam by launching a series of new features in the comment section of the app, thanks to Facebook’s latest Community Standards Enforcement Report.
The first thing they did better is the ability to select up to 25 comments on a post and delete them all at the same time, unlike the previous one-by-one method. Furthermore, users can now choose accounts they wish to restrict from commenting or block them completely.
The “pin” option is here too, handy for users who want to select their favorite comments to appear at the top of the section. Instagram explained it “wants to give people an easy way to amplify and encourage positive interactions.” Finally, you will now be allowed to control which accounts can tag or mention you in either their usual posts or Stories, by being provided with three categories to choose from: everyone, only people you follow, or no one at all.
