The mafia’s “First Family” receives a TV drama from the writers of Goodfellas and The Sopranos.
The writers of those two revered productions, an essential on all movie classics lists, Goodfellas, and a must-watch TV series highly considered one of the best of all time, The Sopranos, are joining efforts for something new and big. Considering it’s coming from the screenwriters Nicholas Pileggi and Terence Winter who penned those two masterpieces, we should be prepared for something great.
The TV drama is still in its early stages of development, but for now, we know that the story will be centered around the mafia’s “First Family,” most likely the Genovese crime family of New York City. The show will be landing on Showtime, with premiere dates yet to be announced.
