Fans of the Mandalorian have now been offered a closer look at what’s about to come, two weeks ahead of the release for its highly-anticipated second season. The 30-second TV spot features new footage of Pedro Pascal‘s titular character fighting alongside his teammates, Gina Carano‘s Cara Dune and Carl Weathers‘ Greef Karga.
The length of just a half-minute still offers lots of information, as the video also offers a glimpse of Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon wielding his enigmatic dark saber, as well as the fan-favorite baby Yoda journeying with the Mandalorian on a seafaring ship.
The plot of the second season will surely pick up directly where season one left off, and the show’s producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have both said that it’ll focus on opening up a bigger storyline in the Star Wars universe.
“The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world,” Favreau said. “The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavor, and hopefully we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show,” Filoni continued. “Everything gets bigger, the stakes get higher, but also the personal story between the Child and the Mandalorian develops in a way I think people will enjoy.”
Season two of The Mandalorian will arrive on Disney+ October 30. Watch the clip below.
