A rare Charizard Pokémon card is full speed ahead to becoming the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold at an auction, a record set by newly retired rapper Logic who purchased a PSA 10 Base Set 1st Edition Charizard card for $226K just two months ago.
The card in question here is a 1999 Base first Edition #4 Charizard that’s been certified as a “Black Diamond” card by MBA (Mike Baker Authenticated) and graded as a 10 by SGC. It’s in the “best-imaginable state of condition” which “beckons the observer through magnetic visual qualities that challenge the adequacy of verbal description,” according to the auction house.
With only 11 days left on the clock, bidders have been setting their offers on Goldin Auctions like crazy, but as the offers quickly climbed up from five to six digits, there’s a chance the card has already secured a whopping $500K selling price.
Head over to Goldin Auction’s website to make a bid or view the full description of the card.
