Coinciding with the announcement of Four Tet and Madlib’s exciting collaborative album Sound Ancestors, the duo have released a new track titled  “Road Of The Lonely Ones.”

The collab has been in the works for a few years now. The English producer explains that he originally told Madlib to create a solo album for his beats to “all flow together in an album designed to be listened to start to finish” instead of one for vocalists. They decided to team up for the project — Madlib sent “hundreds of pieces of music over” to Four Tet, and the electronic music producer arranged, edited, manipulated, and combined these “tracks, loops, ideas and experiments” to create Sound Ancestors.
