Rookie streaming video service Disney+ has recently launched its mobile app and already accumulated 3.2 million downloads during its first day, with “about 89% of the downloads in the U.S., 9% in Canada and 2% in the Netherlands” as stated by the research firm Apptopia.
Despite regular connectivity issues at launch, it’s quite apparent the streaming company had a successful debut. We will not have insight in subscription numbers until Disney’s quarterly earnings in February next year though.
