This week Art Basel Miami 2019 sees a new experimental short film by Harmony Korine, known for the films Kids, Spring Breakers, and Beach Bum. The film, entitled Duck Duck, was shot using Snapchat’s Spectacles 3 and explores storytelling in 3D.
Korine said in a statement: “Spectacles 3 is a completely unique format that shifted my perspective on film, narrative, what’s animated and what’s real. By combining a first-person point of view and 3D Effects, the sunglasses inhabit their own hyper-personal universe, and helped inspire the multi-sensory experience of Duck Duck – like you can walk into this world when you watch it.”.
What’s more interesting is Korine’s partnership with Snapchat and Gucci to create a limited edition Spectacles 3, virtually wearable here.
