American independent entertainment company A24 is releasing a 8-part book series on HBO’s teen drama Euphoria, following the second holiday special trailing Jules.
Each book represents one episode from the first season of the series. Encased in a holographic cover, you can flip through each book containing new interviews, behind-the-scenes photographs, Q&As with the cast and creatives who worked on the show, the episode screenplay, and episode stills.
“I’m gonna be totally honest here. I spent the majority of my teenage years in and out of hospitals, rehabs, and halfway houses. I was a drug addict,” creator and writer Sam Levinson shared his inspiration for the series.
Additionally, readers can delve into major insights from interviews with Zendaya, Alexa Demie, and Barbie Ferreira, makeup artist Doniella Davy, music composer Labrinth, and costume designer Heidi Bivens. The publication also includes a peek at Hunter Schafer’s sketchbook and never-before-seen photographs taken during production by Jacob Elordi.
“A lot of fat girls are sidekicks. For example, when I was seven, I was my childhood best friend’s fat sidekick, and she was the main character of the movie of life. Growing up, you watch people who look like you or people who are different from the main character. You think, “I can never be the center of attention. I can only live vicariously through them.” Euphoria took that trope and turned it upside down,” actress Barbie Ferreira explained, giving a little inside teaser.
