Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow, a video game announced by Balenciaga, is a continuation of the label’s attempt to explore the limits of dystopia, offering a fully interactive look at Demna Gvasalia’s latest AW21 collection.
Set in the not-too-distant future of 2031, the game promises to give “an in-depth look at the new collection and the projected future in which it is intended to be worn”. With the theme of ‘human destiny’, a hero avatar will take players through various zones, where they’ll be met with tasks and interactions. Whether or not an in-game Demna will appear is yet to be confirmed.
The luxury fashion label is not the first to step into the gaming world, following Burberry, Gucci, and Collina Strada.
