A bold limited edition collection featuring iconic artwork from America’s influential pop artists
In honor of the late artist and cultural icon Keith Haring, Caran d’Ache is collaborating with Keith Haring Studio to launch an exciting new special edition collection of art and writing products

A source of inspiration for over 100 years, Caran d’Ache celebrates love, art and creativity with an original “Caran d’Ache + Keith Haring” collection. Each of the six Swiss Made creations expresses a universal language and promotes an important message: art for all. A value that Caran d’Ache shares with Keith Haring who, inspired by the graffiti artists whose marks covered the city’s subway cars, began to draw in white chalk over the black paper used to cover vacant advertising panels. Not only was Haring able to reach a large and diverse audience with his subway drawings, but, eventually, the subway became, as Haring said, a “laboratory” for working out his ideas.
At the centre of this collection is one of the artist’s best-known drawings: two figures carrying a red heart in their outstretched hands, present on each of the product’s boxes.
CARAN D’ACHE + KEITH HARING: WRITING INSTRUMENTS
With this light, fun collection, Caran d’Ache addresses all lovers of writing, with three new designs of some of the brand’s most popular pens. The first creation in this collection is an iteration of the Caran d’Ache Ecridor pen, this luxury palladium pen is engraved with one of Haring’s famous artworks. The ever popular and accessible 849 ballpoint pen has been reimagined in the collection with two new designs: a white satin finish, with the heart carried by two figures as an ode to love, and another in matte black, which incorporates another of the American artist’s best-known motifs. Also available in the collection is a specially designed notebook, the perfect partner to the pens, with a cover bearing the pop artist’s famous icons.
CARAN D’ACHE + KEITH HARING: COLOUR COLLECTION
Three new products complete this special edition collection, including two original sets. First, a portable assortment of 10 colour pencils and a black fibre-tipped pen, the perfect combination for reproducing the iconic lines of Keith Haring and his penchant for vibrant colours. Second, a mixed set comprising 40 colour pencils and 42 Neocolor II wax pastels, the ideal gift for exploring different drawing and watercolour techniques. To accompany these fine arts instruments, Caran d’Ache has created a colouring pad containing 20 essential works by the renowned pop artist.
More than a simple tribute, the six new items in this Caran d’Ache + Keith Haring special edition embody the American artist’s philosophy and his desire to democratise art and make it accessible to all.
