Beginning today, we now get a closer look at the first single-artist online sale by any international auction house, “Daniel Arsham: Archeology of the Future,” announced by Christie’s last month. The works included in the sale are from the Future Relic series and Crystal Relic series, alongside his newest collaborative works with Dior, Pokémon, Disney, and more. The sale’s proceeds will benefit the Cooper Union school of art in Manhattan, where Arsham graduated in 2003.
Some of the highlights from the sale include nearly one-foot-tall Blue Crystalized Pikachu collectible, as well as a bronze hourglass sculpture from 2019, and of course items like eroded clocks, basketballs, and telephones, with prices ranging from $4,000 to $500,000 HKD (approx. $500 to $65,000 USD). Bidding will run from June 19 to June 30 on Christie’s website. Take a look at some of the items below.
