Turns out Coachella 2020 might get canceled after all, like other major music festivals worldwide. The previously postponed festival—from April 10–12 and April 17–19 to Oct 9 – Oct 18—according to reports, might not see its day.
According to Bloomberg, Goldenvoice, the festival’s organizer, is currently requesting the lineup of artists for 2020 to perform in 2021 instead. The lineup featured quite a few big names such as: Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine and Travis Scott, as well as other musicians including Megan Thee Stallion, Denzel Curry, Big Sean, 21 Savage, Run the Jewels, Summer Walker, Freddie Gibbs, Ari Lennox, Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, FKA Twigs, Swae Lee, DaBaby, YBN Cordae, and Roddy Ricch.
Those who have already bought tickets for this year’s event can carry them forward into the following year in order to minimize financial losses. There’s no official statement from Coachella nor Goldenvoice, but according to Bloomberg some of the artists from above have agreed to postpone their performance by a year—others have yet to decide.
