Drake continues to break and set new records and stay relevant as it was recently confirmed the Toronto-based artist has reached a world record of hitting 50 billion streams on Spotify.
According to Chart Data, the OVO head is now the first and only artist to hit 50 billion combined streams on Spotify. Drizzy has a total of 12 records on the streaming platform, including his debut EP So Far Gone which only landed on Spotify in February 2019 as part of its 10th anniversary.
2020 also went great for Drake when it comes to achieving big feats. He broke the record as the artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries of all time, the artist with the most top 10 entries and the first male artist to debut three tracks at No. 1 on the same chart.
His next studio album, which will be his sixth one, Certified Lover Boy, is expected to arrive sometime in early 2021.
