Canadian R&B duo, composed of singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, have dropped a new deluxe EP titled Amusing Her Feelings under the Toronto-based OVO Sound record label, founded in 2012 by hip hop artist Drake, Oliver El-Khatib, and producer Noah “40” Shebib.
The new project features a total of 20 tracks — the original 16 cuts of their April 2020 album A Muse in Her Feelings and four brand new songs: “She Said,” “He Said” featuring Miguel, “Blessings” and a cover of Kings of Leon’s 2008 hit, “Use Somebody.”
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Daniel Daley said: “These records were records that we had while we were… the ideas of the beginnings of while we were creating A Muse in Her Feelings. So some of them just didn’t get done. We didn’t get that Miguel verse until afterwards. We knew we were saving it for the right collaboration, records like ‘Blessings’ got a whole new facelift from 85 because where we started off with it on a production level, he just took a whole new approach to it and really brought it to life in a complete different way. That sample the gospel sample the way it’s flipped wasn’t wasn’t like that before. So a bunch of things that we did were things that were happening right as the album was beginning to roll out. And we were like, ‘Could we try to rush this to try to throw them on? Or do we just hold it for the right time?’ But it was still a part of the same, I guess, mindset that went into the original album.”
