Atari’s plans to launch a series of retro gaming-themed hotels in numerous cities across the United States are no joke. The company has now partnered with global design and architecture firm Gensler, following Atari’s partnership with hotel management firm GSD Group, and shared a gallery of its cyberpunk-inspired establishments, offering you a much precise look.
The concept designs feature infallible bright neon lights, massive digital displays, and even what appears to be holograms — reminiscent of scenes straight out of Bladerunner or Altered Carbon. The first two themed hotels will open in Phoenix and Las Vegas, following more locations planned for Austin, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle.
“Like Atari’s legacy in innovation, Atari Hotels is infusing synthetic reality into every aspect of the hotel, creating an immersive hospitality and gaming experience for our guests,” said Shelly Murphy, managing partner of the GSD Group. “From our virtual interactive world to the physical locations, every element of Atari Hotels will offer a unique and authentic experience for everyone.” Take a look at the gallery below and head to the Atari Hotels website for more information.
