Apple is nearing a deal to purchase a Billie Eilish documentary yet to be titled, directed by R.J. Cutler and produced by Interscope Films, for $25 million, Billboard reports.
Rather than being released on Apple Music, the documentary is expected to premiere on Apple TV+ in 2020, indicating Apple’s latest endeavor in separating its streaming services.
Apple Music’s Artist of the Year award went to Eilish this week and the first-ever Apple Music Awards on Dec. 4 premiered with Billie performing at the Steve Jobs Theater. Additionally, her March debut was the most streamed album of the year on both Apple Music and Spotify.
