A list consisting of 20 semi-finalists competing for the 2021 LVMH Prize has been narrowed down to the final nine, following the event’s first digital showroom and public vote.
Alongside London-based designer Bianca Saunders, the finalists are: Christopher John Rogers, Connaqer Ives, KidSuper’s Colm Dillane, Kika Vargas, Charles de Vilmorin, Lukhanyo Mdingi, Nensi Dojaka and Rui’s Rui Zhou.
“These young designers are all talented, of course, but also committed and realists,” said Delphine Arnault, executive VP of Louis Vuitton and LVMH Prize founder. “During this semi-final, each of them showed in their own way a very personal and accomplished creative universe”.
A select group from the final nine will also have a unique chance to work with 24S and SSENSE on a unique capsule collection.
The final is set to take place in Paris later this year, with a jury also expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
