Streaming giant Netflix has made an announcement that it has acquired 17 different films from Studio Ghibli. This means some of the most famous films from the legendary studio will hit the streaming service for the first time, although unfortunately, they won’t be available in North America and Japan due to other rights deals already existing.
The Studio Ghibli films will arrive on Netflix in three separate batches, according to reports in The Hollywood Reporter. The first set of titles is scheduled to arrive as early as February 1. The films will be available in all other Netflix regions, with subtitles in 28 languages and dubs available in 20. Check out the complete release schedule down below.
