Deciding what to watch after you’ve binged a show on Netflix can be a difficult thing to do. So the streaming giant is making it even for you by introducing a new “Shuffle Play” button.
Similar to the “Recommended” section, Netflix examines your viewing history and the type of content you saved on “My List,” and serves you new titles that are similar in style and genre. The feature is currently only available on TV devices. You can find the “Shuffle Play’ button in three places: the “billboard” part of the home screen, the sidebar menu and under a viewer’s profile icon on the startup screen.
“The purpose of the test is to make it easier for members to find something to watch,” explained a Netflix spokesperson. “The hope is to absolutely productize something.”
