New York artist Sam Friedman is presenting his latest work in a new solo exhibition organized in partnership with WOAW and Library Street Collective. The show explores the theme of the natural landscape of New York’s Rockaway Beach and will take place in Hong Kong’s WOAW Gallery Store.

Drawing from scenery, true stories, and the happiness he found on the beach, the artist conveys his experience with vivid colors and abstract strokes, triggering emotions and imagination. By removing the progressive plots and configuration to each piece, each work is without a beginning or end and delivers infinite possibilities for an expanded interpretation. FANTASY, the title of the exhibition, suggests the artist’s inability to enjoy the same level of freedom in reality as the seaside paradise he used as his subject.

FANTASY will be on display until December 10 in Hong Kong’s WOAW Gallery Store.
