As popular music streaming service Spotify revealed its data for 2019, we take a closer look at the most-streamed artists, songs and albums of this musically lucrative year.
The most-streamed artist of the year worldwide was Post Malone, just a tad ahead of Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande who came at No. 2 and No. 3. Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes’ “Señorita” was undeniably the catchiest single of the year and the most-streamed one, and speaking of albums, Billie’s March debut WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? topped the album charts with its single “bad guy” scoring No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Following Billie, at No. 2 came in Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” at No. 3, and at No.4 came in Ed Sheeran’s No. 6 Collaborations Project.
