On the latest episode of The Eric Andre Show, in a segment titled “Grimes And Punishment,” the Canadian musician is seen being subject to Kraft Punk’s—a minor character on the show—various forms of “torture,” from feather tickling to melted candle wax and “cheeseboard” with liquid cheese.

“I explained to her, it’s because we always torture the musical guest,” he said. “I’m always beating them with bats or electrocuting them, so it’s not a good look if I’m like torturing a woman. And she goes, ‘Yeah, that makes sense but I wanna do the show. Fuck it, you can torture me!’” Andre explained in a recent interview with Complex, after Grimes’ complaint that the show did not feature as much female musical guests.

Funnily enough, Andre didn’t know that Grimes was pregnant at the time of the filming. “I was like, ‘You just talked me into torturing a pregnant woman,’” he said. “And she was like, ‘Yeah, but it was fucking awesome!’”
