The Weeknd is back with another music video for “Snowchild,” but this time it’s an animated visual for which the Canadian artist tapped anime studio D’Art Shtajio.
The animated visual plays off of the lyrics of “Snowchild” which sees The Weeknd look back at his meteoric rise. Showcasing the different phases of Abel Tesfaye, we get a look at the iconic House of Balloons era, the moment of Kiss Land and Beauty Behind the Madness, moving into his Starboy phase.
D’Art Shtajio is the first Black-owned animation studio in Japan, founded by Arthell Isom, Darnell Isom, and Henry Thurlow back in 2016.
