An 11-year-old Brazillian skateboarder becomes the record topper by performing the world’s first vert ramp 1080.
Skateboarding prodigy Gui Khury, at just 11, beat legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk’s record set at the 1999 X Games for world’s first vert ramp 900; Hawk was 31 at the time. The 1080 that Tom Schaar landed in 2012 when he was just 12 years old, although an astonishing achievement, differs from this one because it was performed on mega ramp, a much larger vert ramp structure.
